Who owns Squarespace?

Why did Squarespace start a new front-end?

Some of the more concrete building blocks included Squarespace’s server and infrastructure, which have needed to be rapidly upgraded to accommodate demand. And when the company went about launching its new front-end identity, it borrowed from old building blocks while pioneering new ones.

In 2003, Anthony Casalena founded Squarespace as a blog hosting service while attending the University of Maryland, College Park.
